Welcome! I am a PhD Candidate in Finance at the University of Amsterdam and Tinbergen Institute, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. E.C. Perotti and Prof. Dr. F. Van der Ploeg, and a visiting scholar at De Nederlandsche Bank. I am on the 2024/2025 academic job market.
My research focuses on macro-finance, climate finance, and household finance. I combine theory and empirics to explore whether climate risk is priced in financial markets, and how price signals, as well as financing frictions, shape our response to climate change, through adaptation and mitigation. I also examine the resulting distributional effects, and the implications for political support for climate policies.
In the Spring of 2024, I visited the Finance Department of Imperial College London. My job market paper has received the Best Student Paper Award at the CEPR Household Finance Conference and the Best Single-Authored Paper Award at the European Sustainable Finance PhD Workshop. I also was a finalist in the Young Economist Competition of the European Central Bank, held at the Forum on Central Banking in Sintra in 2024.
I hold an MPhil in Economics from Tinbergen Institute (cum laude), a Bachelor of Science in Economics (summa cum laude, valedictorian) and a Bachelor in Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
