Welcome! I am a PhD Candidate in Finance at the University of Amsterdam and Tinbergen Institute, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. E.C. Perotti and Prof. Dr. F. Van der Ploeg, and a visiting scholar at De Nederlandsche Bank. I am on the 2024/2025 academic job market.
My research focuses on climate finance, macro-finance and household finance. I combine theory and empirics to explore how financing frictions affect our response to climate change, through adaptation and mitigation, and its distributional effects. I also study the impact of climate risk on asset prices, and how climate risk, through its macro-financial implications, affects political support for climate policies.
In the Spring of 2024, I visited the Finance Department of Imperial College London. My job market paper has received the Best Student Paper Award at the CEPR Household Finance Conference and the Best Single-Authored Paper Award at the European Sustainable Finance PhD Workshop. I also was a finalist in the Young Economist Competition of the European Central Bank, held at the Forum on Central Banking in Sintra in 2024.
I hold an MPhil in Economics from Tinbergen Institute (cum laude), a Bachelor of Science in Economics (summa cum laude, valedictorian) and a Bachelor in Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
